NATURAL DISASTER

Posted by JW

MOTHER NATURE WINS AGAIN

In the process of setting up a day with my son-in-law to help me take down some trees.  No need to now,  Nature has beaten us to the punch.  Woke up this morning to a new look in one of the gardens.  Strange looking thing had grown overnight to about five feet tall. When I went to look and see what it was I found a large tree covered with Wisteria  had come down during the thunder-storm last night.  We had planted the wisteria about 20 years ago, it had climbed two Ash trees but it never blossomed. The trees are now dead and where in need of being taken down.  In the photos the other one is still standing but with a definite lean.  Pruning shears worked to remove the vines and brushy limbs.  Chain saw would not start so large trunk is still waiting.  Chain saw in the shop tomorrow.

HI Cynthia: I have always said that you can’t beat Mother Nature you can only assist her. So I will be assisting by cleaning up the mess.
    Have a great evening,

  2. I love trees and the shade they provide but when a storm comes through we all wonder what we’ll find in the daylight. Here’s to some family help with the cleanup. Glad no one or anything more valuable than a fence was damaged which is plenty. 🙂

HI Judy: Hoping to commandeer a couple of grand kids to help with clean up. Chain saw back from the shop today. No excuses this week end. All will be cleaned up.

    Have a great evening,
    John
