LONG TIME SINCE THE LAST POST

Yes it has been a long time since I last posted.  Spring is passing by and summer is coming upon us.   Gardens are growing fast now and changing daily, we also have a new regular visitor.  Have not given her name yet, we’re just calling her turkey.

HAPPENING HERE THIS SPRING

Meandering around the gardens from time to time we did take a few photos of things this spring.  No particular order in the photos to follow just picked them randomly.

As you can see some things new and some old.  We have had several days of rain now, not able to do much in the garden’s.  Things growing like crazy.  Looks like next few days pulling weeds and mowing grass.  Still have some pruning jobs to do also.

That’s it working on the next post, see you in a few days.

  1. Great pictures Dad! I hope that summer has finally arrived, although I can’t complain, I HATE the hot stuff anyways!! And the gardens are so green and lush from all the rain .. I’ll take it just the way it’s been! I love your frog bench, and the wooden wheel barrow, and the new garden with the HUGE rock! COOL!

HI Christina: Working on some other new things should be completed soon. Will be at the COSTAL MAINE BOTANIC GARDEN in Boothbay. How far are you from there?

    Have a great day

  4. Love that wheel with the clematis growing up through it – I’ve a wheel in the garden though I’ve never thought of getting something to grow through it until I saw your pic.

HI Rosie: Don’t recall seeing your wheel in any of your photos. What could you do to make it a focal point ? Post some pictures so we can see what you have and what you are doing to it.

    Have a great day,
    John

  5. Enjoyed the pics. Love the iris – one of my favorites. Earl likes the turkey. He heard some in PA but never did see them….

HI Cynthia: Earl can’t have my turkey, we are saving her for a special occasion. Have not seen her in over a week now, that doe’s not mean she is not coming food is gone every day. No turkey hunters allowed on our habitat..

    Have a great evening,
    John
