GARDENS OF THE PAST

As we enter into the Year 2012 remembering some of our Flowers and Gardens of the past.  I put together two slide show’s of things, flowers and other resident’s at Liza and John’s garden that occurred in years past.   Not in any particular order or with any rhyme or reason just some of what we think are interesting.

I spent four hours today scanning the thousands of photos we have.  Did not even scratch the surface.    Started some “Save Files” today and already have over 500 Eastern Bluebird photos,  several hundred Northern Cardinal and lots of others.  Hope you enjoy the Slide shows.

LOOKING AT THE NEW YEAR

2012 is already looking better than 2011.  Working on a new blog theme and perhaps another blog.  Back problems getting better so should be able to work in the gardens more than last year.   Liza is slowly healing from the surgery she had last June.  Lots of nerve damage and that takes some time.

That’s it for this time see you next post.  Have a wonderful New Year.

Good Evening Rosie: The New Year is well underway, cold clear weather here. Weather man is saying not much in the way of snow for January. Hope that true.

    Have a wonderful Year,

  3. Good morming John!
I enjoyed those photos very much, especially the little bluebird with its shadow and the bee on the sunflower. You know I’m one who would love to see all 500 odd bluebird photos :D
All the best to both you and Liza for 2012 being a wonderful year!

Good Morning Heidi: Am working on the Bluebird Photos, editing out the duds and out of focus. After that will be putting together some stand alone slide shows. When that happens will let you know and workout a way for you to view.

    Have a great day,
    John

  4. Wonderful photos. Thanks for sharing a look back at your garden over last year. I’m so glad to hear your back seems to be on the mend and you’ll get more time out in the garden. It’s also great to hear Liz is recovering, albeit slowly. Wishing you both a happy New Year.

Good Morning Bernie: You know that you can’t keep an old Gardening Nut Down they will garden to the end.
I our case there is two nuts so makes for interesting happenings and a lot of fun. Our gardens will thrive in spite of us.

    Have a great day,
    John

  7. Happy New Year. Thank you for the feedback.
The reason that my comments form on Seedscatterer/Blogspot doesn’t have a Name/Email/Website choice is that to do that I have to accept ANONYMOUS comments as well. As soon as I switch back to that format, the bots cover me with offers for every thing imaginable and some that are not.

Did the drop-down menu not offer you WordPress as an ID? Open ID has a choice for just about everybody in the universe.

My other choice is to make visitors fill out a word verification with silly letter combinations which I abhor. It usually does not work the first time and involves scrolling back and forth, back and forth to get it to work.

Another choice for you is to visit my Seedscatterer WordPress blog which eventually has virtually the same babble and similar photos so nobody misses much.

I’m not overly fond of WordPress but I continue to use it.

Thanks Neil Jean. I looked at your other blog very nice.
Will be following both from now on. Working on a way to use Google to leave comments without it switching me to Blogger. I am not a WordPress.com I am a self hosted WordPress.

    Have a great day,
    John
