EVERY TIME YOU STROLL THROUGH OUR GARDENS YOU SEE DIFFERENT THINGS

We do not have any Toad living in the Toad House but we do have Toads.   As we walk around we see lots of interesting things  in the gardens.  Here are a few of them, another post already started.

Hot dry weather here this week, may reach 100 deg. today.  We are busy watering and trying to keep ahead of the weeds.  Japanese Beetles have arrived so that’s another thing that needs attention.

Hope you enjoy the walk.  See you at the end.

As we work and walk around the gardens this year we have noticed that we are not seeing any Honey Bee’s or Mason Bees.  We usually have hundreds of them.  We are seeing lots of Bumblebees and other pollinators.  A very large Hydrangea is about to bloom,  it is normally cover with bees and other pollinators.  It will be in full bloom in a few days,  waiting to see what happens here.

Butterfly’s are not to plentiful this year either.   Very few compared to other years.   We have seen only one Monarch Butterfly this year.  A few Yellow swallowtail and earlier this summer some Purple swallowtail.

That’s it see you next time.  Don’t forget comments  appreciated.

  1. You showed all the right flowers, all lovely. Your toads might prefer a newly potted plant in a clay pot, nice and damp in which to burrow, mine do. Butterflies have a way of showing up shortly after you notice they’re scarce. Summer isn’t over.

Hi Pat: We have thousands of photos taken over the years, some good and some not so good. Its great to go back and view them particularly in the winter when everything is white.

    Enjoy the evening,
    John
