WHAT BLOOMED 2011
A STROLL THREW OUR GARDENS
It was a long walk around the gardens, starting in June and ending middle of July. Rhododendron did very well this spring as did the Honeysuckle and Lamium. As part of our efforts to attract Butterflies, last year we planted some Milkweed and some Butterfly Weed it has done well this year.
We have several Hydrangea that in the past eaten by Deer or not done so well. This year they are all going to full bloom and growing profusely. Same with the Roses, we have a couple of old bushes that are doing well and then some that we planted last fall and this spring all are providing beautiful blooms.
I have not mentioned the unlabeled plant that we got last year and can’t remember what it is. If you have any idea let us know.
Last but not least are the Iris that also did well this year.

OK Promise I will not take so long between post next time. Liza and I have had some health problems and are working out of them now. Our gardens are prolific this year so lots of stuff to come.

Dad ~ looks like your mystery plant is a Masterwort (Astrantia)

Beautiful, as usual. Both of you take it easy on working in the gardens. Looks like they are doing well on their own….
