Taraxacum officinale
**
AM I A WEED OR A COLORFUL AND BEAUTIFUL PERENNIAL FLOWER
In a way Dandelion is considered a Spring Flower and a good green part of our natural not cared for lawn. It’s green, eatable and is a good grower in about any type of soil. Bit of a pain in the flower beds. I am calling it Taraxacum officinale from now on and that will end all the why questions about dandelion’s growing in our yard.
I started this post as the first blast of Taraxacum officinale was coming into full bloom. The weather has curtailed that and with several days of cloudy rainy weather predicted it may never happen. Besides the fact that if the sun ever comes out again everything will be so tall and need to be mowed before it becomes a jungle I may not get to photograph it in full bloom. So we will have to live with what I have been able to get so far.
Here is a link to wikipedia check out the uses section.

Weather not allowing a good photo shoot of the Taraxacum officinale. That’s it for this post and I am sure tomorrow will bring a change in the weather. Weather channel is showing a little hope for some sun.

Dandelions certainly give great opportunities for photo shoots as long as the weather is favourable. I have a few of those Taraxacum growing through cracks in my patio yet again – they certainly have determination.
You asked about editing software on my bluebell post. I use windows video maker which is a free download from microsoft. I firstly save my videos from the camera as a wvm file on there and then start a new project and bring the video and photographs together. Youtube have now started their own video editor. Hope that helps.

Hi John, I get dandeloins popping up in my garden too, but not so much that they bother me at all. Besides, the bees love them and I like to see happy bees!
