WASHINGTON GARDENER MAGAZINE

Are you tired of reading a magazine that’s 80% advertisements and you paid good money for?  I am and have found one that’s  tailored for the reader not the advertiser.

Fall09cvrWashington Gardener Magazine structured to give the reader uninterrupted reading of the articles.  It’s geared towards a local DC audience and that’s OK. Lots of local information.  The gardening information is a find of valuable information loaded with lots of gardening tips and ideas that are useful about anywhere.

Great to read an article without being rudely interrupted or getting that old familiar GO TO PAGE XX to complete this.  The magazine does have advertisers.  The ads structured so the reader can see them without being distracted from the read.

It is a pleasure to read this magazine way up here in New Hampshire.  I look forward to expanding my gardening knowledge with the help of WASHINGTON GARDENER MAGAZINE.

  1. Thanks for the magazine recommendation! And I’m glad Mozart made it home safely. I didn’t realize you are in southern NH – my sis lives in Raymond, just east of Manchester. Small world! Hope you’re surviving winter, and like Coneflower, are utilizing the time to peruse seed catalogs and dream of spring.

  2. HI Beth: Boy Mozart sure is popular he has comments coming from all over the world. Seed catalogs rolling in here daily. Raymond that’s only a couple of country miles or so from here, been there many times.

Mozart says thanks for caring. Enjoy your evening,
    John

  3. It is great to read a good magazine article without having to flip around trying to find the follow-up pages! I wonder why magazines do that. I found your blog through Blotanical. I also enjoyed your previous post on Mozart. A belated Happy New Year from an Alabama gardener.

  4. HI Alabama Gardener, Welcome to the frozen world of Liza and John’s Garden. From what we hear you may not be much warmer than we are.
Hope you enjoyed your visit, come again you are welcome any time. Will visit your garden later today and will say HI when there.

    Have a great day,
    John

  5. Sounds like a good magazine. I save my magazines- to my husbands great chagrin. I don’t mind ads if they are of interest to me- the trouble with magazines was the proportions of ads to content got way out of hand.

Love Shirley- she is so bubbly :)

  6. HI Ilona, Magazine’s are and issue around here too. If you notice some ot the magazines that have survived are catering to the reader in preference to the advertiser.

    Enjoy Your Evening,
    John
