OLD MAN WINTER STRIKES AGAIN
SNOW
Greeted this morning with 5″ of new fallen snow. Stuff stuck to everything. Good for the gardens will finish off anything left. Will be putting more mulch down on top of snow to put gardens to bed. Weather man says clear for the next few days.
Here’s a quick look around the garden.

That’s it for now. don’t forget to let us know you visited us.

Oh this is an image of my future I am sure of it. I just got a layer of mulch on the gardens but really felt that I needed more. I just couldn’t get it on there because the plants were still in the way. I ended up shifting bucket fulls ontop and then sort of ruffling it down. Just like you I figure the cold temps and snow should finish it off and then I’ll brave another round of mulching. Brrrr…

That looks very similar to my world now… I still had some work to do. The ground is not frozen so snow is bad for the voles will have a good time eating my treasured plants. Hopefully this will melt and we can have a good hard freeze! Lovely images of your gardens. Carol

Good Evening Carol: If one planned to grow a White Garden could not have done as good a job as Mother Nature did today. Mother does have a way of painting some wonderful pictures.
Enjoy,

We had baby snow once at 2 in the morning , but as it fell to the ground it melted immediately. And the other time I’ve encountered snow was when we drove past day old snow , but it was already icy mush. Yours looks heavenly.

What a beautiful snow fall. I always love snow this time of year and then, well, come February, not so much. Love that hemlock and the structures in your garden. Very nice bird feeding stations.

Snow has created a wonderland for you to enjoy. We seldom get snow, and if so, it is gone in a flash it seems. Happy Holidays.
