Took two of the grand kids this trip and of course Charlie Brown.
Not much time for picture-taking, too short a trip. Our Gardens in Florida have done real well. Last April we planted a few things during the cold spell “Freeze” that occurred there. Were not sure what would make it and what would not. Most did make it.
PLUMBAGO -- a week ago was in full bloom.
Plumbago planted last year has done very well. Bougainvillea in the back planted April this year.
BOUGAINVILLEA Doing very well, like's the spot.
We did not give this much hope when it got planted. Cold weather, poor soil, discount plant and no one to look after it. We did amend the soil and water it well at planting. Left it to a neighbor to water and she did. We did find a local to service our gardens and that has worked out well. She comes on a regular basis and feeds, prunes, weeds and so on.
PLANTED LAST APRIL
Not much wild life activity the cold weather has them tucked away under cover. Went to the Big Lake to see Alligators and saw none. Only a few birds no turtles.
ONLY ALLIGATOR WE SAW THIS TRIP -- COLD WEATHER NO ALLIGATOR'S
The boys got to meet some cousins for the first time while we where there.
GIRL AND BOY TWINS ---- BOY AND BIGGER BOY BROTHERS
That’s it for tonight. See you next time. Don’t forget to comment and say hi while you visit.
HI Ashlee and others, Bougainvillea are very colorful lots of them in Florida. As far as I know will be in your neighborhood for thanksgiving, you know at the Wells Estate.
Enjoy your holidays,
John
Looks like it was fun trip! What a wonderful thing to have so many kids around in the family. You are very blessed.
The gardens down there look pretty darn good for all the neglect you claim. I should be so fortunate!
I love all those beautiful colors. A real treat after so many gloomy days here.
Hi LeSan: The best thing for our Florida gardens was hiring the gardener to look out for them. The NH gardens have just about all cashed in. Getting them put to bed for winter. Soon we will be starting seeds for next year and will be gardening in Florida during our trips there.
Hi John, I tried to send an email but it wouldn’t take.
I wanted to wish you, Liza and the rest of your family a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Have a lovely day!
